Now that most who pre-ordered the Launch Edition Era have received their discs, we have many customers asking if they should throw their Eras or collect them as investments that will likely increase in value over time. While we think you should throw them, because the Era is one of the most amazing flying discs ever made, we understand that the collector mindset. So how rare is the first disc released in the Finish Line brand?
Total Launch Edition Eras Stamped: 1,800
- Blue 500
- White 500
- Pink 400
- Gray 275
- Red 125
Originally, we planned to have Orange discs manufactured for the Era. The color house sent the wrong color so we ended up with Red. Thus, for the Launch edition, Red is the rarest color of Era as it was not originally an option available for pre-order. Many who ordered Orange substituted their order for Red, but some instead chose from the other available color options. The Pink discs ended up having an almost Halo effect to them with orangish/pink center cores and then darker pink around the rim.
In total 10,000 Era’s were manufactured in the 1st run. 1,800 were purchased by pre-order, 1,500 were distributed to members of the Infinite Discs VIP Club, 100 were stamped with the LVC commemorative stamp, and the rest will be released with the first run stamp to the general public on March 31st.
Whether you bought them to throw or collect, we hope you agree that the Era is a fantastic disc!
Future Finish Line Molds
In the future, Finish Line Launch edition discs will be even more exclusive. In general there will be only 500 of each new mold released with the Launch Edition stamp.
